The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 11.61% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.52% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.11% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s oil & gas industry in July 2022.
1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 36% in July 2022, registering a 40% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 28% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 20%, registering a 44.44% decline from June 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 12%, up 50% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 24% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s oil & gas industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
TotalEnergies posted 7 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 36.36% over the previous month, followed by Air Liquide with 5 jobs and a 28.57% drop. Arkema with 4 IT jobs and Schlumberger with 2 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 100% growth, respectively, while Avantor recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 84%, down by 25% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 16% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
