
Germany’s oil & gas industry registered a 3.3% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 7.02% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.92% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.23% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry in June 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 45.28% in June 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 18.87% share, an increase of 11.11% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 16.98%, registering a 60.87% decline from May 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 15.09%, up 14.29% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 12.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
BASF posted 23 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 4.17% over the previous month, followed by Sika with 11 jobs and a 10% growth. Yara International with 7 IT jobs and Henkel AGKGaA with 3 jobs, recorded a 250% growth and a 25% decrease, respectively, while Nutrien recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.02%, down by 21.43% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.09% share, registered an increase of 300% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 1.89% share, down 80% over May 2022.
