Germany’s oil & gas industry registered a 0.9% rise in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.65% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.36% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 0.27% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 52.78% in May 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 19.44% share, a decrease of 12.5% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.89%, registering a 25% rise from April 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 13.89%, up 150% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 36.36% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
BASF posted 16 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 5.88% over the previous month, followed by Sika with 6 jobs and a 50% growth. Wacker Chemie with 3 IT jobs and Henkel AGKGaA with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Yara International recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 88.89%, flat growth from April 2022. Mid Level positions with an 8.33% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.78% share, flat growth over April 2022.
