
Germany’s oil & gas industry registered a 2.3% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.14% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.95% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 35.63% in August 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 20.69% share, an increase of 63.64% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 17.24%, registering a 7.14% rise from July 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 17.24%, up 7.14% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 12.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s oil & gas industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Sika posted 26 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 8.33% over the previous month, followed by BASF with 22 jobs and an 18.52% drop. Wacker Chemie with 12 IT jobs and Yara International with 9 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 25% decrease, respectively, while Henkel AGKGaA recorded an increase of 66.67% with 5 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.71%, up by 12.07% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 13.79% share, registered a decline of 14.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 11.49% share, up 66.67% over July 2022.
