The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.02% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.93% share in September 2022, recording an increase of 5.53% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Italy’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Italy’s oil & gas industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 84.78% in September 2022, registering a 62.86% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.04% share, a decrease of 25% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 2.17%, registering a flat growth from August 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Italy’s oil & gas industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Hera posted 41 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 63.39% over the previous month, followed by Snam with 3 jobs and a flat growth. Worley with 1 IT job and FMC with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.61%, down by 64.15% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.22% share, registered a decline of 36.36% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.17% share, down 75% over August 2022.
