Netherlands oil & gas industry registered a 1.0% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.24% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.86% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.13% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Netherlands oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands oil & gas industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 24% in July 2022, registering a 33.33% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 24% share, a decrease of 45.45% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 20%, registering a 66.67% rise from June 2022.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 12%, up 200% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Netherlands IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 37.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands oil & gas industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Shell posted 9 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 125% over the previous month, followed by Akzo Nobel with 7 jobs and a 16.67% growth. LyondellBasell Industries with 2 IT jobs and Stolt-Nielsen with 2 jobs, recorded a 50% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Yara International recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64%, down by 27.27% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28% share, registered an increase of 75% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8% share, down 33.33% over June 2022.
