Out of the total IT job titles posted by PPG Industries, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 45.1% in June 2022, and a 43.75% rise over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 25.49% in June 2022, and registered growth of 160%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 17.65% in June 2022, a 10% drop from May 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at PPG Industries

North America emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 56.86% share, which marked a 31.82% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 35.29%, registering a 50% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 7.84% share and a flat growth over May 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 52.94% share in June 2022, a 35% growth over May 2022. Poland featured next with a 13.73% share, up 75% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead PPG Industries IT hiring activity in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.71%, up by 57.14% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.61% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.69% share, up 14.29% over May 2022.
