The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 2.22% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 4.9% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.03% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops PPG Industries IT hiring in September 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by PPG Industries, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 64.29% in September 2021, and a 22.73% rise over August 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 14.29% in September 2021, and registered growth of 100%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.9% in September 2021, a 16.67% drop from August 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at PPG Industries
North America emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 76.19% share, which marked a 5.88% drop over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 23.81%, registering a 100% month-on-month growth.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 47.62% share in September 2021, a 5.26% growth over August 2021. Mexico featured next with a 28.57% share, down 20% over the previous month. Poland stood next with a 7.14% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
Junior Level jobs lead PPG Industries IT hiring activity in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, down by 20% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 21.43% share, a growth of 200% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.9% share, up 25% over August 2021.
