The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.16% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.1% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.67% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Singapore’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s oil & gas industry in September 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 46.15% in September 2022, registering a 57.14% decline over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 38.46% share, a decrease of 9.09% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 7.69%, registering a 33.33% decline from August 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.85%, down 85.71% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Singapore’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 47.83% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s oil & gas industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Keppel posted 9 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a drop of 64% over the previous month, followed by Exxon Mobil with 6 jobs and a 14.29% drop. Halliburton with 4 IT jobs and Yara International with 4 jobs, recorded a 33.33% growth and a 50% decrease, respectively, while Shell recorded a decline of 66.67% with 1 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.23%, down by 47.06% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.38% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.38% share, down 69.23% over August 2022.
