
Singapore’s oil & gas industry registered a 5.7% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.77% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.17% share in November 2021, recording an increase of 1.17% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Singapore’s oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s oil & gas industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 57.14% in November 2021, registering a 4.76% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 17.14% share, an increase of 20% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 11.43%, registering a 100% rise from October 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 11.43%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Singapore’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 9.52% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s oil & gas industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Yara International posted 10 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a drop of 16.67% over the previous month, followed by Halliburton with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Keppel with 3 IT jobs and PetroChina with 3 jobs, recorded a 50% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Brenntag recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.29%, up by 4% from October 2021. Entry Level positions with a 20% share, registered a decline of 30% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.71% share, flat growth over October 2021.
