The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 2.41% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 7.38% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 0.7% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops TotalEnergies IT hiring in October 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by TotalEnergies, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 53.85% in October 2021, and a 33.33% drop over September 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 26.92% in October 2021, and registered growth of 40%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.54% in October 2021, a 68.42% drop from September 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at TotalEnergies

North America emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 63.46% share, which marked a 13.16% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 34.62%, registering an 80% month-on-month growth. Middle East & Africa was the third leading region with a 1.92% share and a flat growth over September 2021.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 63.46% share in October 2021, a 13.16% decline over September 2021. France featured next with a 28.85% share, up 150% over the previous month. Belgium recorded a 3.85% share, a flat growth compared with September 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead TotalEnergies IT hiring activity in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.08%, down by 9.52% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 23.08% share, a growth of 1100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 3.85% share, down 93.75% over September 2021.
