The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.08% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.29% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.34% over the last three-month average share.

Top five oil & gas companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 104.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s oil & gas industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Koch Industries posted 252 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 72.6% over the previous month, followed by Oceaneering International with 88 jobs and a flat growth. Sasol with 74 IT jobs and Exxon Mobil with 61 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 16.44% decrease, respectively, while Air Products and Chemicals recorded an increase of 25.71% with 44 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.72%, up by 26.2% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.22% share, registered a decline of 2.49% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.86% share, down 1.64% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.2%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
