Norway-based company Yara International’s IT hiring declined 3.0% in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.22% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 17.11% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2022, and recorded a 0.06% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Yara International IT hiring in August 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Yara International, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50% in August 2022, and a 13.89% drop over July 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 22.58% in August 2022, and registered growth of 27.27%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 22.58% in August 2022, a flat growth from July 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Yara International

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in August 2022 with a 56.45% share, which marked a 14.63% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 37.1%, registering a 4.17% month-on-month decline. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 4.84% share and a flat growth over July 2022.

In the fourth place was North America with a share of 1.61% and a month-on-month flat growth.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 41.94% share in August 2022, a 7.14% decline over July 2022. Norway featured next with a 16.13% share, up 42.86% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 14.52% share, a decline of 25% compared with July 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Yara International IT hiring activity in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.19%, down by 4.17% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.74% share, a decline of 26.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.06% share, up 150% over July 2022.
