Al-Jurf Conventional Oil Field, Libya

Al-Jurf is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Libya and is operated by Mabruk Oil Operations. The field is located in block NC 137 (Area 15,16 & 32).

Field participation details

The field is owned by National Oil Corporation of Libya, TotalEnergies, BASF and LetterOne Holdings.


Production from Al-Jurf

The Al-Jurf conventional oil field recovered 74.63% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2004. The peak production was approximately 39.48 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2044. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 56.45 Mmboe, comprised of 56.45 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Al-Jurf conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
