Arcadia is a producing cbm field located onshore Australia and is operated by Santos GLNG. The field is located in block PL 234, PL 90, PL 233, PL 235, PL 236, PL 421, PL 420, and PL 440.

An expansion project is associated with the Arcadia, namely Arcadia Phase 2. This project is currently in the approval stage, expected to start in 2022.

Field participation details

The field is owned by TotalEnergies, Petroliam Nasional, Santos, Korea Gas, ConocoPhillips, China Petrochemical and Origin Energy.


Production from Arcadia

The Arcadia cbm field recovered 13.12% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2024. The peak production will approximately 71 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2056.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 61.11 Mmboe, comprised of 366.64 bcf of natural gas reserves. Arcadia cbm field reserves accounts 1.44% of total remaining reserves of producing cbm fields globally.
