Barsila is a conventional oil development located onshore India and is operated by Ramayana Ispat. Discovered in 1983, Barsila lies in block AA/ONDSF/Barsilla/2016.

The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2023.

The field is owned by Mahendra Infratech, BDN Enterprises, Ramayana Ispat and Duggar Fiber.


Production from Barsila

Production from the Barsila conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2023 and is forecast to peak in 2024, to approximately 987 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 2 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2076.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 6.32 Mmboe, comprised of 4.64 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 10.07 bcf of natural gas reserves.
