Benchamas is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Thailand and is operated by Chevron Offshore (Thailand). The field is located in block B8/32 (Tantawan), with water depth of 243 feet.
Production from Benchamas
The Benchamas conventional oil field recovered 98.74% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2003. The peak production was approximately 49.42 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 167 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
