BP recorded a decrease of 5.29% in total oil and gas production to 2,32,572.87 boe/d in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production of BP grew 29.93% in February 2022 from 1,78,993.13 boe/d in February 2021.
On a YTD basis, the company’s total oil and gas production increased by 19.34% from the same period in 2021.
The company’s oil production declined 10.07% to 21,858.02 bd in February 2022 from the previous month, while gas production declined by 3.23% to 1,021.56 mmcf/d. On a YTD basis, oil production increased by 113.47% in 2022 when compared with the same period in 2021, while gas production rose by 19.81%. Out of the total oil and gas production in February 2022, oil production held a 9.4% share, while gas production held a 75.73% share.
Looking at the states where BP recorded the highest oil and gas production in February 2022, Texas figured at the top, accounting for a 0.02% share. The company produced 1,81,756.28 boe/d in the state in February 2022, a decrease of 7.14% from the previous month.
On a YTD basis, the company produced 3,77,488.36 boe/d in Texas in 2022, recording a decrease of 5.78% from the same period in 2021.
BP witnessed the highest oil and gas production in Reeves county in February 2022. Out of all the counties, Reeves county held a share of 23.91% for the firm. The company produced 55,600.53 boe/d in Reeves county in February 2022, a decrease of 6.63% in production when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, the county produced 1,15,150.77 boe/d for the company in 2022, a 7.8% decrease from the same period in 2021.
