BTE-2 Conventional Gas Field, Egypt

BTE-2 is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Egypt and is operated by North Alam El Shawish Petroleum. The field is located in block North Alam el-Shawish Concession.

The field is owned by Cheiron and Cairn Energy.

Production from BTE-2

The BTE-2 conventional gas field recovered 89.84% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2019. The peak production was approximately 30 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 0.4 Mmboe, comprised of 2.42 bcf of natural gas reserves.
