Gen X Energy will operate the upcoming Cai Mep Ha LNG regasification terminal, proposed to be built in Ba Ria Vung Tau in Vietnam. The terminal is expected to start operations in 2023 and will be owned by Blackstone and others.


The Cai Mep Ha LNG regasification terminal has a proposed regasification capacity of 146.1bcf/annum (billion cubic feet) and storage capacity of 0.18 million tons (Mt).

Subsequent expansions at the Cai Mep Ha regasification terminal will increase its capacity by 292.2bcf/annum.

During the period 2021-2025, the Cai Mep Ha regasification terminal is expected to witness an estimated capex of $3,855m.
