Corrib Conventional Gas Field, Ireland

Corrib is a producing conventional gas field located in deepwater in Ireland and is operated by Vermilion Exploration and Production Ireland. The field is located in block 18/20P (Corrib) and 18/25P (Corrib), with water depth of 1,165 feet.

The field is owned by Vermilion Energy, Equinor and Nephin Energy.

Production from Corrib

The Corrib conventional gas field recovered 45.62% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2017. The peak production was approximately 329 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2086. The field currently accounts for approximately 93% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 100.19 Mmboe, comprised of 601.17 bcf of natural gas reserves. Corrib conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
