Cove Point II LNG Liquefaction Terminal, US

Located in Maryland in the US, the Cove Point II LNG liquefaction terminal is operated by Berkshire Hathaway Energy. The terminal started operations in 2018 and is owned by Dominion Energy, Berkshire Hathaway Energy, and others.

 

 

The Cove Point II LNG Liquefaction terminal receives feed gas from Marcellus and Utica shales.

With one train, the Cove Point II terminal has an LNG production capacity of 5.25Mtpa (million tons per annum), which is expected to remain the same as 5.25Mtpa by 2030.

Approximately 87.62% of the installed capacity is committed through long-term contracts, which amounts to roughly 4.6Mtpa.
