Contracts in the downstream oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 78% with a total of 14 contracts in January 2022, when compared with 65 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 80%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 70 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the downstream segment in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with six contracts and a 43% share in January 2022, followed by Asia-Pacific and North America with three contracts and a (21%) share each.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the downstream segment were awarded in the procurement with 11 contracts, followed by design & engineering and installation with six and three contracts, respectively.
