Contracts in the downstream oil and gas segment registered an increase of 43% with a total of 50 contracts in July 2022, when compared with 35 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 23%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 65 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the downstream segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 42 contracts and an 84% share in July 2022, followed by Middle East and Europe with four (8%) and three (6%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the downstream segment were awarded in the procurement with 46 contracts, followed by design & engineering and construction with seven and three contracts, respectively.
