Contracts in the downstream oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 41% with a total of 33 contracts in October 2021, when compared with 56 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 51%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 67 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the downstream segment in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 13 contracts and a 39% share in October 2021, followed by Middle East and Asia-Pacific with nine (27%) and six (18%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the downstream segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 19 contracts, followed by procurement and construction with 17 and 10 contracts, respectively.
