Contracts in the downstream oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 50% with 74 contracts in Q2 2022, when compared with 147 contracts in the previous quarter, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 63%, when compared with the last four-quarter average of 198 contracts.

Asia-Pacific led the contracts activity for downstream segment, with 26 contracts and a 35% share in Q2 2022, followed by Europe and North America with 21 (28%) and 13 (18%) contracts, respectively.

During the quarter, the majority of contracts in the downstream segment were awarded in the procurement with 49 contracts, followed by design & engineering and construction with 32 and 16 contracts, respectively.
