The downstream segment contracts in Europe registered an increase of 40% with seven contracts in November 2022, when compared with the previous month’s total of five contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
A total of seven contracts were registered in the downstream segment of Europe during the month, remained flat when compared with the last 12-month average contracts.
In terms of the number of contracts in Europe, the upstream segment contributed the most with 143 contracts in November 2022, followed by midstream and downstream segments with 19 and seven contracts, respectively.
Contract award activity in Europe’s downstream segment during November 2022
In November 2022, the UK led the activity with two contracts and a 29% share of the downstream oil and gas contracts in Europe, followed by France and Greece with one contract 14% share each.
Based on 12-month moving average of the contracts in the downstream segment of Europe, Russia took the top spot with two contracts, followed by Germany and Sweden with one contract each.

During the month, the majority of downstream segment contracts awarded in the Europe were in the procurement with five contracts, followed by design & engineering and operations & maintenance with four and three contracts, respectively.
