EA/EJA is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Nigeria and is operated by Shell Petroleum Development Co of Nigeria. The field is located in block OML 79, with water depth of 95 feet.

An expansion project is associated with the EA/EJA, namely EA Further Development. This project is currently in the construction stage, expected to start in 2022.

The field is owned by Nigerian National Petroleum, Shell, TotalEnergies and Eni.


Production from EA/EJA

The EA/EJA conventional oil field recovered 95.51% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2004. The peak production was approximately 107.52 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 9 Mmcfd of natural gas and 12 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 12.61 Mmboe, comprised of 12.61 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
