El-Bunduq is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Qatar and is operated by Bunduq. The field is located in block El Bunduq, with water depth of 75 feet.

An expansion project is associated with the El-Bunduq, namely El-Bunduq Development. This project is currently in the approval stage.

The field is owned by JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration and Cosmo Energy Exploration & Production.


Production from El-Bunduq

The El-Bunduq conventional oil field recovered 97.18% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1970. The peak production was approximately 136.9 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 8.76 Mmboe, comprised of 8.76 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
