El-Merk Complex is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Algeria and is operated by Groupement Berkine. The field is located in block Block 208 and El Merk (EMK,Block 405a).

Production from El-Merk Complex
The El-Merk Complex conventional oil field recovered 60.73% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2016. The peak production was approximately 113.58 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 30.93 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2040. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.
