Gazelle is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Cote d’Ivoire and is operated by Vitol Eastern CDI. The field has water depth of around 656 feet.

The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2022. The Gazelle conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately six wells and includes wellhead platform.

The field is owned by Vitol Holding II, Nomad Energy UK and Societe Nationale d’Operations Petrolieres de la Cote d’Ivoire.


Production from Gazelle

Production from the Gazelle conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2022 and is forecast to peak in 2024, to approximately 384 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 19 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2063.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 19.66 Mmboe, comprised of 2.11 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 105.32 bcf of natural gas reserves.
