Harding Heavy Oil Field, UK

Harding is a producing heavy oil field located in shallow water in the UK and is operated by TAQA Bratani . The field is located in block 9/23b ALL and 9/23d ALL, with water depth of 374 feet.

An expansion project is associated with the Harding , namely Harding North. This project is currently in the feed stage.

The field is owned by TotalEnergies and Abu Dhabi National Energy.

Production from Harding

The Harding heavy oil field recovered 90.26% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1998. The peak production was approximately 86.25 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 23 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2037. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 33.13 Mmboe, comprised of 27.37 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 34.56 bcf of natural gas reserves. Harding heavy oil field reserves accounts 0.08% of total remaining reserves of producing heavy oil fields globally.
