Haynesville Shale witnessed a decrease of 1.47% in total oil and gas production to 22,80,710.27 boe/d in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in Haynesville grew 26.63% in February 2022 from 18,01,087.8 boe/d in February 2021. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play increased by 20.45% from the same period in 2021.
In Haynesville, oil production grew 1.35% in February 2022 as compared with the previous month, while gas production decreased by 1.51% to 13,042.51 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play increased by 28.69% in 2022 when compared with the same period in 2021, while gas production rose by 20.45%. Out of the total oil and gas production in February 2022, oil held a 1.06% share, while gas had a 98.59% share.
In Haynesville, Chesapeake Energy emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 3,68,601.8 boe/d in February 2022, a decrease of 0.07% from the previous month. The company held a 16.39% share in gas production in February 2022.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 13.77% increase in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2021.
Compared with other counties within Haynesville Shale, De Soto county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 23.18% share in February 2022. The county witnessed a 0.56% decrease in production to 5,28,589.78 boe/d in February 2022 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, it registered an increase of 5.1% in total production from the same period in 2021.
