Jackdaw is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in the UK and is operated by Bg International. Discovered in 2005, Jackdaw lies in block 30/2a PRE-TERTIARY AREA, 30/3a BELOW THE TOP OF THE DANIAN/EKOFISK, and 30/2d ALL, with water depth of around 257 feet.
The project is currently in feed stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2022. The Jackdaw conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately four wells and includes wellhead platform.
Field participation details
The field is owned by Shell and ONE-Dyas.
Production from Jackdaw
Production from the Jackdaw conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2025 and is forecast to peak in 2026, to approximately 7,548 bpd of crude oil and condensate, 138 Mmcfd of natural gas and 8,177 bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2048.
