Liwan 3-1 and Liuhua 34-2 Conventional Gas Field, China

Liwan 3-1 and Liuhua 34-2 is a producing conventional gas field located in deepwater in China and is operated by Husky Energy. The field is located in block Block 29/26, with water depth of 4,264 feet.

Production from Liwan 3-1 and Liuhua 34-2

The Liwan 3-1 and Liuhua 34-2 conventional gas field recovered 28.39% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2020. The peak production was approximately 400 Mmcfd of natural gas and 16 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2054. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 401.8 Mmboe, comprised of 1,932.65 bcf of natural gas reserves and 79.69 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Liwan 3-1 and Liuhua 34-2 conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.13% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
