Contracts in the LNG segment registered an increase in activity by 50% in October 2021 with a total of 15 contracts, when compared with the previous month’s total of 10 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
A total of 15 contracts were registered in the LNG liquefaction and regasification segment globally during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 14 contracts.
LNG Liquefication sub-segment reported 14 contracts, representing 88% of the total 16 LNG contracts, followed by two contracts in the LNG regasification sub-segment.

North America took the top position with six contracts and a 40% share of the total LNG contracts globally in October 2021, followed by Europe and Asia-Pacific with five (33%) and four (27%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the LNG segment were awarded in the procurement with seven contracts, followed by design & engineering and operations & maintenance with six and four contracts, respectively.
