Contracts in the LNG segment registered an increase in activity by 122% in October 2022 with a total of 20 contracts, when compared with the previous month’s total of nine contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of 20 contracts were registered in the LNG liquefaction and regasification segment globally during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 15 contracts.


LNG Liquefication sub-segment reported 15 contracts, representing 65% of the total 23 LNG contracts, followed by eight contracts in the LNG regasification sub-segment.

Asia-Pacific took the top position with eight contracts and a 40% share of the total LNG contracts globally in October 2022, followed by North America and Europe with seven (35%) and three (15%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the LNG segment were awarded in the procurement with 13 contracts, followed by design & engineering and construction with eight and five contracts, respectively.
