Medgaz, Algeria

Medgaz is a 210km-long deepwater, onshore, shallow water, ultra-deepwater pipeline project operated by Medgaz. This gas pipeline, with a maximum diameter of 24 inches, starts at Oran (Algeria) and ends in Andalusia (Spain).

The Medgaz project started operations in 2011 and is owned by Sonatrach and Naturgy Energy Group.


The Medgaz project is associated with the 127km Almeria–Lorca.

Medgaz, S.A. is a consortium of Sonatrach, CEPSA, Iberdrola, Endesa and Gaz de France. Medgaz is engaged in building and operating a new deepwater gas pipeline.
