Contracts in the midstream oil and gas segment registered an increase of 5% with a total of 65 contracts in January 2022, when compared with 62 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 20%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 81 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the midstream segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 32 contracts and a 49% share in January 2022, followed by Europe and North America with 16 (25%) and eight (12%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the midstream segment were awarded in the procurement with 23 contracts, followed by operations & maintenance and construction with 22 and 19 contracts, respectively.
