Contracts in the midstream oil and gas segment registered an increase of 1% with 246 contracts in Q1 2022, when compared with 244 contracts in the previous quarter, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 4%, when compared with the last four-quarter average of 255 contracts.

Asia-Pacific led the contracts activity for midstream segment, with 122 contracts and a 50% share in Q1 2022, followed by Europe and North America with 51 (21%) and 40 (16%) contracts, respectively.


Contracts by scope of work in midstream segment in Q1 2022

During the quarter, the majority of contracts in the midstream segment were awarded in the procurement with 106 contracts, followed by design & engineering and construction with 68 and 65 contracts, respectively.
