Contracts in the midstream oil and gas segment registered an increase of 28% with a total of 78 contracts in September 2022, when compared with 61 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 9%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 86 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the midstream segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 35 contracts and a 45% share in September 2022, followed by Europe and North America with 19 (24%) and 14 (18%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the midstream segment were awarded in the operations & maintenance with 26 contracts, followed by procurement and construction with 23 and 22 contracts, respectively.
