The midstream segment contracts in Africa remained flat in December 2021, when compared with the previous month’s total of two contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
A total of two contracts were registered in the midstream segment of Africa during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of four contracts.
In terms of the number of contracts in Africa, the upstream segment contributed the most with 16 contracts in December 2021, followed by midstream and petrochemicals segments with two contracts each.

In December 2021, Kenya and Niger led the activity with one contract and a 50% share each of the midstream oil and gas contracts in Africa.
