The midstream segment contracts in Europe registered a decrease of 42% with 14 contracts in November 2021, when compared with the previous month’s total of 24 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
A total of 14 contracts were registered in the midstream segment of Europe during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 23 contracts.
In terms of the number of contracts in Europe, the upstream segment contributed the most with 122 contracts in November 2021, followed by midstream and downstream segments with 14 and seven contracts, respectively.
Contract award activity in Europe’s midstream segment during November 2021
In November 2021, Norway led the activity with five contracts and a 36% share of the midstream oil and gas contracts in Europe. It saw an increase of 400% over the previous month’s total of one contract and an increase of 150% when compared with the last 12 month-average of two contracts in Norway, followed by Greece and Italy with two contracts 14% share each.
Based on 12-month moving average of the contracts in the midstream segment of Europe, Russia took the top spot with seven contracts, followed by Greece and Norway with three and two contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of midstream segment contracts awarded in the Europe were in the procurement with eight contracts, followed by construction and design & engineering with three contracts each.
