The Montney (ARC Resources Ltd) BC unconventional gas field recovered 27.75% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2023. The peak production will approximately 11.31 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 797 Mmcfd of natural gas and 8.39 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2045. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 738.62 Mmboe, comprised of 42.98 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 3,903.17 bcf of natural gas reserves and 45.11 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Montney (ARC Resources Ltd) BC unconventional gas field reserves accounts 0.58% of total remaining reserves of producing unconventional gas fields globally.
