Ntorya is a conventional gas development located onshore Tanzania and is operated by ARA Petroleum Tanzania. Discovered in 2012, Ntorya lies in block Mtwara and Ntorya.

The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2024. The Ntorya conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately two wells.

Production from Ntorya

Production from the Ntorya conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2026, to approximately 463 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 93 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2066.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 111.14 Mmboe, comprised of 1.71 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 656.57 bcf of natural gas reserves.
