A total of 380 contracts have been awarded in the oil and gas sector globally in November 2021, marking a decrease of 14% when compared with 440 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 28%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 527 contracts.
Oil and gas contracts activity by region in November 2021
By comparing contracts activity in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 153 contracts and a share of 40% in November 2021, followed by Asia-Pacific and North America with 80 contracts (21%) and 73 contracts (19%), respectively.
In fourth place was Middle East with 41 contracts and an 11% share.
Upstream segment tops contracts activity in November 2021
Looking at contracts by segment, upstream accounted for the largest proportion with 281 contracts and a 74% share in November 2021, followed by midstream with 53 contracts and a 14% share.
