Contract award activity in Africa during February 2022

Looking at contracts by country, Uganda led the activity in February 2022 with six contracts representing a 30% share of all the oil and gas contracts, followed by Senegal with two contracts and a 10% share and Tanzania with one contract and a 5% share. It saw an increase of 500% over the previous month’s total of one contract and an increase of 500% when compared with the last 12 month-average one contract in Uganda.

Looking at oil and gas contracts by segment in Africa, upstream segment contributed the most in terms of the contracts awarded, with 15 contracts in February 2022, followed by midstream with five contracts.
