Production from Baraka and Maamoura
The Baraka and Maamoura conventional gas field recovered 63.82% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2011. The peak production was approximately 4.18 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 11.00 Mmcfd of natural gas and 0.22 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2036. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 9.25 Mmboe, comprised of 4.57 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 24.57 bcf of natural gas reserves and 0.59 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
