An expansion project is associated with the Bongkot, namely the Bongkot Development (500 MMSCFD). This project is currently in the commissioning stage, expected to start in 2023.

Field participation details

The field is owned by PTT Public.

Production from Bongkot

The Bongkot conventional gas field recovered 73.33% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2007. The peak production was approximately 17.86 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 629.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2041. The field currently accounts for approximately 17% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 398.27 Mmboe, comprised of 42.66 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 2,133.63 bcf of natural gas reserves. Bongkot conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.14% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
