An expansion project is associated with the Gina Krog, namely the Gina Krog Infill Project. This project is currently in the feasibility stage.
Field participation details
The field is owned by Equinor, Kuwait Petroleum and Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo.
Production from Gina Krog
The Gina Krog conventional oil field recovered 22.13% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2023. The peak production was approximately 11.09 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 326.00 Mmcfd of natural gas and 0.82 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2071. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 311.07 Mmboe, comprised of 28.97 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 1,669.58 bcf of natural gas reserves and 3.83 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Gina Krog conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.07% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
